At the bend of an excursion (optional) you will discover the monastery of Saint John perched on top of a hill. Nicknamed the Jerusalem of the Aegean Sea, this island welcomed the apostle and theologian John who wrote the Apocalypse (last book of the New Testament) there. This ancient city contains many remains including the library of Celsus, the great theatre and the remains of the temple of Artemis. An optional excursion to the archaeological site of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also available. This seaside resort formerly called "Neopolis" has beautiful beaches, ideal for relaxing. This morning, you will arrive in the Samos Strait and will land in Kusadasi in the late morning. While you take pictures of this beautiful landscape the Star Flyer will continue its route in the Icarian Sea. You will wake up in the middle of the Aegean Sea and see some of the islands of the Cyclades. At around 9:45 pm, you will see the crew set sail and head east. After setting up your belongings in your cabin, you will explore every corner of this giant of the seas.
